**POSTPONED **Field Trip: Barataria Preserve

Join us on Friday, February 16th for a ranger-guided walk on a boardwalk trail through wild Louisiana swamp and marsh. As you stroll the Barataria Preserve trails, look for snakes, turtles, and alligators swimming through waterways or sunning themselves on logs and bayou banks.

We will meet inside the visitor center at 9:45 a.m. The walk will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last for about an hour. 

After the walk we will watch a 25 minute movie about the music, culture and history of this diverse region. 

If anyone would like to bring a picnic lunch, there is a picnic area with tables and restrooms across the highway. 

There is no cost for this field trip, but we will need a final headcount by February 12th.
