Our vision is to connect and serve all members and to focus on serving one another, building stronger, deeper connections

Our Community

We offer many activities throughout the year for our members and encourage fellowship.  We feel it is of great importance to remain connected while we all continue on our homeschool journey, encouraging one another along the way.

Welcome to CHEF of GNO

Christian Home Educators Fellowship of Greater New Orleans is a volunteer support organization for the Greater New Orleans Area and surrounding parishes. Founded over 30 years ago, CHEF has been encouraging and assisting families in their home school adventure. CHEF of GNO helps families navigate the home schooling process and creates community through our many planned activities such as: semester long Physical Education classes, field trips, mom's night out, a family camping trip, a family thanksgiving banquet, graduation ceremonies, parent/child nights, academic nights, field day and many more.  Click here to see a full list of activities. These events have helped deepen relationships within the organization and highlights Christian Home Education to families exploring the viable option of home schooling.
 

  • Membership dues are currently $40.00 per family.  This fee will give you membership from now through July 31, 2024. 

  • Members are encouraged to participate in at least one activity by volunteering to coordinate or serve in an event or activity. 

 
CHEF of GNO is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization composed of homeschool mothers and fathers that donate their time and talents to the benefit of the entire group.  For CHEF of GNO to be able to offer a variety of events and field trips for all our members, it is vital that we have volunteers willing and excited to do the work.  If you have an idea of an event that we do not have listed and you would like to coordinate it, please feel free to bring it to the board for consideration.

 

We are an affiliate of Homeschool Louisiana which provides home school information workshops, home school training events, home school informational materials, and legislative representation to ensure that the freedom to home school in Louisiana is always protected.  By joining CHEF of GNO, you are also affiliating with Homeschool Louisiana.
