Service Opportunity!!! Next Wednesday will be the final Gary Sinise Foundation Soaring Valor flight to New Orleans. They fly WWII veterans to NO to visit the WWII Museum. It starts with a welcome at the airport. Since it’s the last one, they want to make it a big one. The flight usually lands about 1 pm.
It would involve gathering by the stage that’s on the 1st floor by baggage claim about 1:15. You can park in short term parking. It would be about an hour. When the veterans get off the plane they bring them downstairs. There’s a color guard and jazz band. We are encouraging our kids to make signs to welcome the veterans.
**Short term parking is free for the first 30 minutes. it's $3/30 minutes after that. Enter main entrance for the airport and follow signs
